Other major basement finishing provider did not (would not) provide written proposal, estimates or notes even after requested; only verbal info was given. First TBF competitor contractor could/would not complete work, then TBF distributor notified us of first company's failure, and referred us to Signature Bsmt Dsgn. Leo proposed a better design on top of original proposal. We are very happy with all of the ideas and work! Constructive suggestions: 1- Providing all workers with advanced spoken English lessons would result in more effective communications with homeowners. 2- Have electrical sub-contractor note for the homeowner, which thermostat controls which baseboard heaters. Allow owner to select simpler, higher-rated thermostat model, instead of the default digital, programable thermostat that might not meet the power requirements of the heaters. 3- For better coordination with owners' presence or absences from home, inform homeowner of work schedule whenever possible.
