The Basement Transformer

A homeowner in Kerhonkson, NY reached out to us to see how we could help fix her the crumbling staircase & old cellar doorway that gave her access to her basement. The cement block walls were bowing and coming apart. This entryway was no longer safe and needed to be replaced entirely. To fix the problem, we customized a Steelway Cellar Door for this homeowner that was specific to the dimensions required for her basement. Once it was replaced, the homeowner no longer had to worry about having an unsafe and unstable entryway leading into her basement. This new cellar door and staircase are both reliable and sturdy, unlike the wooden staircase and bowing cement walls she was dealing with before our team stepped in.

What started out as a basement in complete disarray due to water intrusion turned out to be a fabulous and useable space in the end. We gave this basement in Monroe, NY a complete makeover using our EverLast Perimeter Wall System, our linen dropped grid ceiling featuring mineral fiber composition, and our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring in gray. All of our basement finishing products are made to withstand a basement environment and will not become damaged due to moisture.
