Previously this homeowner was experiencing very uncomfortable rooms below this attic as well as very high energy bills. Our Building Science Specialist came in and did an evaluation with the homeowner and discovered there were problems in the walk up attic.
Our production team installed a Super Attic Conversion System in this attic to eliminate uncomfortable rooms, ice damming and cold drafts, and of course, energy loss. The homeowner was very happy with the changes they saw immediately in their home.
This homeowner in East Hartford, CT called us hoping that we would be able to help her finish her basement. They had a partially finished basement that they wanted redone, which included demolishing the old basement. Before we were able to finish the basement, however, we first had to insulate it.
After removing the fiberglass insulation they had in the home, we re-insulated using two-part spray foam. This spray foam was applied in the rim joist, which is the perimeter of the floor framing system along the exterior of the house. We also applied Foamax foam insulation board to the walls of the basement, providing more insulation. Now, this basement is more comfortable than ever, and the homeowner can begin the process of having the basement of their dreams!
Sealing up a vented crawl space to lower humidity and lower fuel and electric bills.
This homeowner in East Hartford, CT called us hoping we would be able to help him with his home. His water heater broke and caused damage to the insulation under his mobile home. He wanted to get his insulation replaced so that he was not uncomfortable during the winter.
We had the perfect solution for this customer. In this solution, SilverGlo™ foam insulation board is installed across the bottom of the floor joists with special long screws and 3” washers, SilverGlo™ is expanded polystyrene foam with graphite infused into the foam, which bumps up the insulation (“R”) value by 24% over standard EPS foam. Further, SilverGlo™ has a radiant barrier to reflect heat, so the insulation isn’t doing all the work by itself. All seams are sealed. If necessary a skirt board can be installed around the perimeter of the insulation so the edge is not visible. The skirt board may require painting after we are complete. Result - Much warmer floors, less drafts and more comfortable rooms, quieter home, lower fuel and electric bills.
Homeowners in Chicopee, MA contacted Dr Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions because they wanted to make their upstairs rooms more comfortable. Vented attics are very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. Our team installed our Super Attic Conversion System which makes the attic part of the conditioned space in the home. Our SilverGlo EPS foam insulation board is infused with graphite which gives it a superior R-value. Heat is reflected out in the summer and in during the winter. The upstairs rooms will be more comfortable and the homeowners will save on their heating and cooling costs!
