This homeowner contacted Northland Basement Systems because she was tired of dealing with a cold wet basement. In order to reclaim her basement space our team installed Waterguard around the perimeter of her basement and a Super Sump to keep her whole basement dry. Our team also insulated the cold damp basement walls with Foamax insulation and insulated the rim joist with SilverGlo insulation. We topped the dry insulated basement off with one of our brand new Sanidry Sedona basement air machines to prevent mold and reduce odors.
As a baseboard drainage system, DryTrak® installs above the floor and along the inside perimeter of the basement.
If you have a monolithic foundation, meaning that your floor and footing were poured as one piece, this is the only drainage system that's appropriate. DryTrak® is also perfect for other applications when jackhammering the floor is not an option-- in basements with radiant heat, for example.
The home owner also had concerns with their block foundation bowing inward. As forces of nature, such as moisture and frost, interact with the soil around your home, the soil expands. That expansion results in constant inward force on your foundation wall until it can no longer support the pressure, causing cracking, bowing, and tipping. This is when we recommend the use of CarbonArmor, which will immediately stabilize your foundation walls and permanently protect against any further inward movement.
Turn a wet musty basement in to a dry healthy one, that looks great!
