Problem
Mr. Lincourt wanted to have the block foundation walls of a house he needed to buy inspected, as one of the walls were sloping inward into the basement and some blocks were also pushed inward due to external ground pressure.
Solution
In order to stabilize and reinforce problematic walls, our team of experts installed our galvanized steel PowerBrace beams on the foundation walls. Attached to the floor and joists, the walls got stabilized. There is a clamping device on the PowerBraces to tighten them and slightly straighten the walls over time in order to return them to their original position.
Our clients from Sainte-Marthe-Sur-Le-Lac called us after noticing stair-shaped cracks around the exterior brick as well as having an uneven floor.
After their call, our specialists went to the site and gave them a free quote for the best foundation repair and reinforcement solutions.
We have suggested the installation of Steel rods, which are forced through a 1-inch hole in the wall of the basement and are connected to the earth anchor and wall anchor; a WallAnchor which is a discreet wall plate placed inside the wall of your basement and attached to the rod, and a SentrySeal membrane that protects your foundation walls from external moisture and backfilling.
When our client in Sainte-Marthe-Sur-Le-Lac noticed that the floor of his basement was sinking, he contacted us in order to recommend a solution that will strengthen the existing beams and stabilizing the foundations permanently.
Furthermore, we ended up installing 11 SmartJack support beams. SmartJacks are steel support devices that are used specifically in crawl spaces to stabilize and level beams and floor joists. The SmartJack can support a load of over 60,000 pounds. These high strength galvanized steel girders can adapt to the height of your crawl space. This system can support the weight of your home, repair your bending floors and stabilize the foundations of your home.
We repaired a client's foundation in Sainte-Geneviève. When your concrete block foundation walls begin to crack, it is a sign that they're no longer stable. This is an important sign to consider a repair, but when the wall starts to bend, there is clearly a failure that needs to be addressed.
The PowerBrace system consists of galvanized steel beams that stabilize the walls. It is a system that tightens over time to counter the problem and bring the foundation back to its original position.
You will not find similar beams. That's why they are patented.
If you notice a problem of foundation, our specialists can help you by recommending you a solution adapted to the problem of your house in order to protect you and to restore the value of your home.
We repaired the basement slab that was sagging at this house in Pierrefonds. Symptoms can be clearly seen in the cracks separating between the top of the interior walls of the basement and floor upstairs. By installing our slab piers, we did not just stabilize the slab, but also we were able to close the existing cracks as you see in these 2 pictures.
