Years of water damage in an infrequently visited crawl space took its toll, and by the time the client called he had a significant amount of debris and mold from the excess humidity in his crawlspace.
Healthy Basement Systems brought a dumpster, cleaned out the crawl space, and removed all the debris before getting started on the water damage and mold. We installed CleanSpace vapor barrier, and decimated the existing mold with CleanStart Plus, which is also a mold preventative. We waterproofed the crawlspace foundations, and installed SilverGlo insulation to provide a consistent temperature and humidity level, unaffected by outside air and humidity.
Finally, we installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which keeps the relative humidity below 55%, so mold won't stand a chance. The SaniDry Sedona is a high-efficiency ENERGY STAR® certified dehumidifier, and removes more moisture for less electricity cost than conventional models. The SaniDry Sedona drains automatically and has a humidity sensor that monitors the air; so once it's installed, there's nothing else to do. Our client's crawl space will remain drier and healthier - and so will the rest of his home too!

This sandy crawlspace needed a full encapsulation. We used CleanSpace to create a vapor barrier between the exposed sand and the rest of the home. The upper levels will now experience less humidity and drafts.
